Anthony Edwards Leads Timberwolves with 25 Points

The Minnesota Timberwolves defeated the Phoenix Suns 105-93 on Thursday night at Target Center. The win snapped a three-game losing streak for the Timberwolves and improved their record to 12-13. The Suns, meanwhile, lost their fourth straight game and fell to 10-15. Anthony Edwards led the Timberwolves with 25 points on 9-of-16 shooting. He also had six rebounds and five assists. D’Angelo Russell added 20 points and six assists, while Rudy Gobert had 18 points and 14 rebounds. The Timberwolves shot 48.5% from the field and 38.5% from three-point range. The Suns shot just 40.2% from the field and 27.3% from three-point range. The Timberwolves led by just three points at halftime, but they pulled away in the third quarter. They outscored the Suns 34-22 in the third quarter to take a 13-point lead. The Suns never got closer than eight points in the fourth quarter. The Suns were led by Devin Booker, who had 22 points on 8-of-18 shooting. Chris Paul added 17 points and seven assists, while Deandre Ayton had 15 points and 12 rebounds. The Timberwolves will host the Los Angeles Lakers on Saturday night. The Suns will host the Golden State Warriors on Saturday night.
